July 15, 2016 Update   – Happy Financial Freedom Day!

Today, I retired from the rat race and left behind the W-2 workforce. It took me 5 1/2 years to reach this goal which is 15 months ahead of schedule.  That means anyone with a commitment to saving, a willingness to learn, and the courage to take action can do this too.  Going forward, I will continue to post my passive income results and write about new investments and strategies that I uncover.  I wish you all good luck in your pursuit of financial freedom.  Here’s a toast to this new chapter that I call Life 2.0!

Thanks for joining me on my passive income journey.  I am writing this blog to hold myself accountable to my financial freedom goals and to share the strategies and methods I am using to achieve those goals.   If you are visiting for the first time, start by reading The kids are finally out of the house, so how do I retire? (Part 1) .  This is where I summarize my core financial strategy that guides everything else you will read.  The tabs at the top also contain materials that are updated regularly. For my background, read About Freedom595. Make sure you sign up for email updates in the right sidebar so you will be notified when new material is posted including my monthly scorecard updates. Welcome and I wish you good luck on your own journey!
